Ellistar Sensor Systems Ottawa, Ontario Canada |
Software/Firmware Designer May 2004 - September 2004 As part of the core team at Ellistar, a start-up specializing in radar systems, I developed software (C/C++) and firmware for Ellistar's flagship product: a device which detects people and animals near vehicles to avert accidents. With the help of a hardware engineer, I implemented the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) code which filters and analyzes real-time input to detect moving targets. I also assisted in developing the interface between the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) board and a personal computer, which allows Ellistar to give graphical demonstrations of the product in action.
